VETERAN

Veterans are amazing people who risk their individual life for our country’s life and freedom. When you hear the word veteran you automatically think about war but I think of heroism and bravery. American veterans are all around us saving lives by risking their own and I appreciate them for the courage they put forth for our nation. Many types of veterans are fighting for us and our independance every second of every day. Plenty of people think veterans are only the soldiers in combat, but they’re wrong! They are also the people helping the ones in combat by fixing aircrafts, healing the soldiers in combat, and even the soldiers who train others. Many veterans die every day and it is a tragic thing, but if those veterans didn’t die we wouldn’t have the rights we have today. America is the country everyone wants to be in because of our freedoms given to us by those fallen veterans. The american dream is made possible by these valiant men and women. Most veterans are men but there are also women and we should give thanks to them too because they are just as brave as the men! We only think to honor these outstanding heroes on veterans day when we should honor them each and every day because they fight for us each and every day. They fight for you and me so think on Christmas to send them a care kit with some toothpaste and a toothbrush and maybe a nice note saying how much you really appreciate them and all they do for you. Also you can send hurt veterans letters saying get better and thank you for the sacrifices it doesn’t have to be Christmas time for you to do that or send a simple gift of thanks. Imagine all of the struggles they go through with watching friends die, getting hurt, or even running into a burning building just for us. After that don’t you think we should give thanks and be more grateful for those heroic veterans.
