More of a grammar question...

This is more of a question than asking for feedback on some of my writing. I will make a second post about my writing in case this doesn't count.

Anyways. Often when people are writing short notes, if they don't know if there are more than one thing they are talking about, they add a (s) at the end of the verb. Example : Object(s)

This is to show if can either be 1 or more than one object.

However, when writing an argumentative essay or a story, I am unsure if this would be proper.

Thanks in advance!

  1. No, this won't count as your post but hurrah for questions:) I'm slightly confused though--a plural object is a plural object no matter what. Can you post an example to clarify?
