February Writing Post - Brinley Sullivan
I’m pretty sure everyone knows the legend of Robin Hood. Stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. But has anyone considered if he is a hero or a thief? Robin Hood is both because he steals from the rich and keeps some for himself, but he gives plenty of his earnings to those in need.
Robin is a crook because he steals from the rich and keeps a little bit for himself. In the play “The Legend of Robin Hood” it says that he likes to keep some of the loot for himself and his Merry Men. He steals from the rich which makes him a villain, but he is also a hero.
Robin Hood is also a hero because he gives to the poor and needy villagers. In the play all of the villagers love when he comes bearing gifts that when he wants to compete in an archery contest they all beg him not to go. Robin cares for the well being of others which is what a real hero does. That is why Robin Hood is a hero and a crook.
It is a really good passage! The way you talked about Robin Hood was really interesting, the only thing that you could do a little bit better, is being more descriptive, and making your imagination come to life.

ReplyDeleteThis was really good Brinley! I like the way how you explained what Robin Hood did. I would just maybe be more descriptive when you are talking about him. Other than that good job.
