Immigrants
Did you know that mostly everyone's ancestors once were immigrants and traveled to America from another country. The people that came from other countries are known as “Immigrants”. Immigrants have changed the food in America, but America has also changed them.
Through out the years Immigrants have changed America in many ways. One way is the food, America used to never have pasta, tacos, pizza, and many more. According to the article “Holding on to Heritage Before It Slips Away” immigrants have carried pasta, tamales, noodle soup, strudels, and jerk chickens”. Most people don’t realize that most of the food that we eat today was made somewhere else in the world. Though Immigrants have changed America, America has also changed them.
America has changed the immigrants that have changed America. One of the ways that America has changed immigrants is that the immigrants are now eating foods that they wouldn’t eaten in their country. They immigrants are eating different foods, just like the Americans. According to the article “Holding on to Heritage Before It Slips Away” impoverished Italian immigrants, who rarely ate meat in Italy, added meat to their menus in the U.S.”. Also according to the other article “How The Taco Conquered America” like the taco the hamburger got a makeover that turned a traditional immigrant food into an American classic”. So in both articles it immigrants changed America by bringing food from other countries. And America changed the immigrants by changing their food, and adding on to their food menus.
This was really interesting. But next time try to make your paragraphs a little longer and add more sentences.
