Robin Hood- February Post
For hundreds of years, the tale of robin hood has been told. Some claim that he was villain and a thief. Others say that he was a hero who saved Nottingham. Well, which is he? The less unfortunate and poor said that he was a hero. He would stop people in the Sherwood Forest and steal their money from them. Then he would give that money to the poor to help them buy food, clothing or whatever else they needed. He would risk his life to get money that was taken from the poor. The prince demanded high taxes from the poor to help pay for his ball’s, food and other luxuries. He took from people who had barely any.
However, the nobles, barons, and baronesses thought Robin was an evil villain thief. There were many rewards and prizes for him. These people thought he was a thief because he only took back what was rightfully the poor citizens. The sheriff of Nottingham was Robin’s worst enemy. He tried and tried to get Robin Hood. The rich people wanted Robin because they benefited from the poor’s taxes. The nobles got to have feasts when the poor barely got a morsel of food into their mouths. To the poor, he was considered a hero and to the rich he was considered a villain.
I like how you show points of view from both sides. Very impressive.
