October Monthly post

Letter Contest
Does cursive still matter? Some people think that cursive is a lost art and doesn’t matter anymore. These arts definately have value in today’s society. There is many reasons why cursive is important in today’s world. Cursive helps kids learn a new way of writing. It is a lot faster, and looks alot cooler. Cursive also helps kids develop their signature.  Signatures are important because, people sign checks with them, represents people’s names, and the declaration of independence was signed in signatures/cursive. Cursive should be preserved because there is many uses for it. Normal handwriting can take a long time, and if an assignment requires that it is written in cursive, it will be faster and you will get a better grade. Those are not the only reasons why cursive is important, there is many more. Cursive looks beautiful, and it is important to many adult’s lives.

  1. Its a good article but I think that maybe you could have made it just a little bit longer but other than that I think that it is great.

  2. I loved it! It was very convincing. The only thing I can really suggest is spacing it out in paragraphs and using the tab key, but that may just be the computer's fault. Keep writing, girl!

  3. I like it a lot but I think you may need a little more details and it should be good. I liked it a lot though because the story sounded like you were saying it yourself.

  4. This is a great contest to do! Excellent details and facts. I'd restructure so you begin with a claim/thesis statement where you say that cursive should be taught because _______, _____________,____________. Then give your fact with each reason. End with a strong conclusion. Do some revision work and let me see it:)
