[November Post] Loch ness monster essay

Dear Representatives of Scotland,

I think that the search for the Loch Ness Monster should not continue for many reasons. We have already ran multiple scans on the Loch Ness, Much of the Loch Ness relies on the stories of the Loch Ness’ famous myth, and there simply could be anything able to live so deep under the water.
Because we have used expensive scanning equipment multiple times, we are certain that there is no such monster. Here we have solid proof that the monster is nothing but a myth, yet still we want continue searching. I don’t think that a famous myth is enough evidence to outweigh proven studies.
Even if such a monster did exist, would we really want to find it? Because of this myth, Loch Ness has taken advantage of it for profit. Loch Ness merchandise is sold all over the area. So much that the Loch Ness actually relies on it. If the monster had been somehow proven to not exist in a way that would satisfy the public, Loch Ness would go downhill. Merchandise wouldn’t sell, tourist attractions would shut down, and the whole place would fall into bankruptcy.
Science has proven that the deep waters of the Loch Ness could not be a suitable habitat for such a creature. Fish could not be able to live in such cold water, So where would Nessy get its food? Nothing lives down in the bottom except for a few aquatic plants. But even if the Loch Ness Monster was some sort of herbivore, the plants wouldn’t be enough to keep such a big creature alive. Science simply doesn’t apply.
Even if there was a Loch Ness monster, how would the public take this. Just imagine it. Scientists reveal that the monster told to be in the bottom of a lake is real. A monster. People would be going crazy to either get as far from the lake or to get closer. People going closer to see the monster with their own eyes would be in huge danger. The Loch Ness would have to close down just because of the curiosity of mankind.
I think it would be safer to keep this myth just that. A myth. Let people believe, let others not. With the myth still running but not confirmed, things would just be a lot safer. Both Physically and Financially.
