Loch Ness Monster Essay
I think that people should stop searching for the Loch Ness Monster. It doesn’t exist. Scientists and researchers have proven there is nothing down there; the water is too cold and there are no plants or animals for Nessie to eat, lots of money and time are being spent on the search for Nessie, lastly, the human imagination is powerful.
Many scientists and researchers have proven that there is nothing down there through many expeditions and trips. According to scientist Ian Florence, they have searched the loch “shoreline to shoreline, top to bottom,” They say that they’ve covered everything in the loch and that there is no sign of any animal living there. Scientists say that there’s no way for any living thing to live down there because it’s too cold and there’s no plants or animals to eat.
Secondly, Scotland has spent lots of money and time for this search of the loch ness monster. Many expeditions and trips have been conducted for the search of the loch ness monster. Those cost lots of money and time. They could be using that money to help feed the hungry, do government programs, build better schools, and many more things. Scotland could be using the Nessie search money for better things.
Lastly, the human imagination is powerful. The people that claimed they saw the loch ness monster could have just seen a log bobbing, a tipped over boat glistening in the sunlight, they could be attention seekers and pranksters, or could of just seen it in their imagination. We can imagine all kinds of things and make stuff up so easily in our heads.
People should stop the search for the loch ness monster. Scientists and researchers have proven with satellites and sonar that there is nothing down there. Scotland could use the money for a better cause. The human imagination is powerful and there are attention seekers and pranksters out there!
Excellent argumentative piece! You defended your claim well with a good balance of narrative and fact. The only corrections I'd suggest are small, capitalize Loch Ness Monster every time you mention it:) Keep up the good work!
