Being Courageous
Do you know the difference between being daring and being courageous? Daring is simply risking your life when courageous is much more. Courageous is when you risk your life for a good purpose, face their fears and take a stand. When being daring is risking your life for dumb reasons.
Firefighters are courageous in rule one. They put out fires, and save peoples lives. When the fire gets really big and they don’t know if they will make it they don’t run away and try as hard as they can to burn out the fire.
Amelia Earhart fits in my courageous rule two because she was afraid of not making it over the ocean but did it anyways. She faced her fears and risked her life for a good reason. She was the first person to take the risk of going over the Atlantic Ocean. She went for research not only for the fame.
Abraham Lincoln is the kind of courageous for rule three. He stood up for non slavery even when nobody else did. He also went and gave one of the best speech in history. It was known as the Gettysburg Address.
Something not courageous is afraid to face their fears. They also don’t risk their lives for others. But, a courageous person will take a stand, fight their fears and and risk their lives for others. Without firefighters are world could be all burned with nothing to rebuild and lives lost. I think we should all be courageous because if we are all courageous then there would be less bullying and fighting. There would be less fighting because we’re all taking a stand for goodness!
LOVELOVELOVE!!!!! I love how you used famous people in it. It totally made you think of the the kinds of courageousness that's in the world. I don't know what you'd change to make it better! it's already so close to perfect to be true! good job!!!
ReplyDelete!!!!!!!!!! That was amazing. I really enjoyed reading this. I think that what you wrote is should be the new definition of courage. The only thing that you could fix is the part when you said that firefighters burn down the fire, but other than that, it was great!
