“Have
you all had the dream?” Madi said the word ‘dream’ in a creepy voice, causing Linda
to hide behind my legs and squeeze my hand, “I’ve had it for the past week.”
She pulled a flashlight out of her pocket and shown it on her face. It made her
fair skin look ghostly pale and her light green eyes were almost white. Her
almost-white-blond hair seemed whiter than ever, making her look like a ghost. “The
dream was terrifying!” she said in her creepy voice. When Linda shrieked, Madi
laughed and turned off the flashlight, putting it back into her pocket of her
shorts.
“I
sure have,” Margo said, with a faint Canadian accent, sitting on the closed
toilet. Marco nodded next to Margo in her wheelchair, her brown hair up to her
shoulders bounced up and down. The twins looked exactly alike; except Margo had
hazel eyes and Marco had brown. They both had tan skin and short brown hair
that barely grazed her shoulders. Not only that, they were both Canadian.
“That’s
not why I called you guys.” Nadili insisted, but no one paid attention.
“It
was really scary. Some scary shadows popped out at me and someone was saying
something to me. He said something about the prophecy, the one I learnded a
little bit about in a book. He also said something about us being the ones in
the prophecy. I’m scared.” Linda said, ignoring her sister. She shivered and
scooted closer to me.
Bree
pulled a thick, purple book stamped with golden patterns out of a teal backpack
she had brought with her and opened to a page, beginning to read.
Chapter 166: The Prophecy
The prophecy is a prediction of what is going to
happen.
“When
I rule the world,” Madi giggled.
Written by the most famous magician of all time-
“Dumbledore.”
she continued crossing her eyes.
Dr. Harris,” Bree continued, trying to ignore
Madi. “It states an evil magician, known as”
“Adolf Hitler,” she retorted.
“Milaca,
will take a magical jewel that contains all MLC magic, known as Majestica, but
will be defeated by Taylor Magi, a rare MCL with all the powers. However,
Taylor doesn’t know of her powers, and a group of eight will lead her to an
understanding.
“Of
love.”
However, if the group fails, Milaca will steal all
knowledge, and take over the world and those who aren’t MLC’s will bow before
him.
“So,
some girl doesn’t know of her powers and a group is going to be sent out and if
this group fails we’ll all turn into mindless robots for this Milaca,” Saige
summarized, hands on her hips, her brown eyes squinted.
“Yep.
That about sums it up,” Bree said cheerfully, like turning into a slave was the
best thing that could ever happen to her.
“Also,
some very powerful elves have been disappearing.” Marco said at the exact same
time her sister chimed in.
“How
could Taylor not notice she is an MLC?” Margo asked, not even paying attention
to the conversation before, “I’m mean, she must have noticed she has a mark on
her wrist.”
“Guys,
I called you because-,” Nadili started.
Linda
tugged on me sleeve and asked, “What’s an MLC?” I looked at her adorable,
large, brown eyes and answered, “An MLC is a Magical Living Creature, like you.
We’re all MLCs.” She looked around and everyone nodded. She pulled on my sleeve
again and asked, “How do you know? Are you sure? I’ve never done magic before.”
I tried my best to squat in the crowded room
so I could be level with her. “This is how we know.” I pointed to a brown mark
on her arm that looked like a bracelet, going around her wrist. I help up my
right wrist to reveal the same mark, but a fiery orange. “You’re an animal
type.”
“What
do I do?” Linda looked at her mark with her eyes wide.
“You
can talk to animals and when you get older, you can change into an animal.” She
immediately looked deeply in my eyes for any signs of teasing. When she saw my
serious face, she looked at my mark.
