Loch Ness Monster Essay

Loch Ness Monster Essay

I think that people should stop searching for the Loch Ness Monster. It doesn’t exist. First of all, scientists and researchers have proven there is nothing down there with satellites and sonar. Also, the water is too cold and there are no plants or animals for Nessie to eat. Secondly, lots of money and time is being spent on the search for Nessie. Scotland could be spending that money someplace else. Last of all, human imagination is powerful, and people could have just imagined that they saw Nessie.
Many scientists and researchers have proven that there is nothing down there through many expeditions and trips. According to scientist Ian Florence, they have searched the loch “shoreline to shoreline, top to bottom,” They say that they’ve covered everything in the loch and that there is no sign of any animal living there. Scientists say that there’s no way for any living thing to live down there because it’s too cold and there’s no plants or animals to eat.
Secondly, Scotland has spent lots of money and time for this search of the loch ness monster. Many expeditions and trips have been conducted for the search of the loch ness monster.  Those cost lots of money and time. They could be using that money to help feed the hungry, do government programs, build better schools, and many more things. Scotland could be using the Nessie search money for better things.
Lastly, the human imagination is powerful. The people that claimed they saw the loch ness monster could have just seen a log bobbing, a tipped over boat glistening in the sunlight, they could be attention seekers and pranksters, or could of just seen it in their imagination. We can imagine all kinds of things and make stuff up so easily in our heads.
People should stop the search for the loch ness monster. Scientists and researchers have proven with satellites and sonar that there is nothing down there. Scotland could use the money for a better cause. The human imagination is powerful and there are attention seekers and pranksters out there!

  1. Really good synthesis of evidence about the Loch Ness monster and really strong word choices. This made it really fun to read. My only suggestion is to make your claim into one total sentence. Well done:)

  2. Good job Audrey. You proved lots of facts. I only saw one error. In the first paragraph: "Secondly, lots of money and time is being spent." I would change is to are. Besides that, I really enjoyed reading your essay.

  3. Nice job Audrey you are a really good writer. I like your three reasons why people should stop searching for the Loch Ness Monster. My favorite reason why people should stop looking for it is the fourth paragraph when you said that "the human imagination is powerful", that is so true. The only thing that I would change is in the first paragraph I would add a little more detail. That is it other wise everything is perfect.
